Gabija Grušaitė is the author of two novels and a curator.
A graduate of Anthropology & Media from Goldsmiths College, UK, Gabija’s creative pursuit is defined by the relentless search of new horizons through travel. In 2009, she settled in Penang, Malaysia where she co-founded an independent, contemporary art centre – Hin Bus Depot – where she was curator-in-chief.
Her second novel STASY SALTOKA (Lithuania) was published in 2017 and translated into English as COLD EAST. COLD EAST is the Winner of the Penang Book Prize 2018 (Malaysia), the Winner of the Jurga Ivanauskaitė Literary Prize 2018 (Lithuania), was shortlisted for Book of the Year Lithuania 2018 and was shortlisted for the EU Prize for Literature 2019.
