Christina Yin Gumal

Christina Yin Gumal lives in Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo with her husband, a wildlife biologist, and two mixed-breed dogs.

With her children in Glasgow and Iowa City, Christina embarked on a PhD – her thesis, “Creative Nonfiction: True Stories of People involved in Fifty Years of Conservation of the Orang-utan in Sarawak, Malaysia” is the first in creative writing at the University of Nottingham, Malaysia.

A Senior Lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus, Christina’s fiction and nonfiction writing have appeared in Anak Sastra, e-Tropic Journal, Eksentrika, New Writing, and TEXT among others.
